Pilar’s Family 

Pilar is the child of a famous fashion editor, Bobbi Queen. But, we know little about Pilar Queen’s family, including her father and siblings.

Her husband Andrew is the child of Joan Ross Sorkin and Laurence T. Sorkin. Andrew and Pilar are the parents of three children two sons (twins, Henry and Robin, born in 2011) and a girl, Sydney (born on January 5, 2017).

Pilar began her career as an agent at Inkwell Management, a literary agency in New York. Then, she was an agent of McCormick Literary. Her famous clients are Brad Stone, Emily Chang, Cristina Alger, Grant Achatz, Andy Kessler, Steven Davidoff, John Hope Bryant, Nancy Lublin, Debi Mazar, and Simone de la Rue.

She became famous after signing Mary L. Trump for publishing the latter’s book, Too Much and Never Enough. The trump family sued but was unable to stop the publication.

Pilar is an agent on UTA’s list of Publishing Agents New York (book agents in New York State), Publishing Agents NYC (NYC), Publishing Agents USA (the United States), Fiction Publishing Agents (fiction authors), and Nonfiction Publishing Agents (nonfiction, novels).

Currently, she is the agent of the United Talent Agency (UTA). Similarly, her mother, Bobbie, is the senior fashion editor at Women’s Wear Daily and associate fashion editor of W magazine, both in New York.

Furthermore, he is the winner of a Gerald Loeb Award for his book Breaking News and  Too Big to Fail.

In addition, Pilar’s mother-in-law is a playwright and librettist. Her best writing is “(mis)Understanding Mammy: The Hattie McDaniel Story,” and an operatic version of “Strange Fruit”.

Furthermore, her father-in-law is a partner in Cahill Gordon & Reindel, the New York law firm.
